eDPI Calculator

Combine your mouse DPI and in-game sensitivity into one comparable number, and see how far you move to turn 360°.

What Is eDPI?

eDPI (effective DPI) is your mouse DPI multiplied by your in-game sensitivity:

eDPI = DPI × sensitivity

It turns two settings into one number. A player using 400 DPI at 2.0 sensitivity and one using 800 DPI at 1.0 both have 800 eDPI and turn exactly the same distance per hand movement.

What Is cm/360?

cm/360 is how far you move your mouse to turn a full 360° in game. Unlike eDPI, it’s a physical distance, so it’s directly comparable across games:

cm/360 = 360 ÷ (yaw × sensitivity × DPI) × 2.54

Yaw is how many degrees the game turns per mouse count at sensitivity 1. It’s fixed for each game:

Game Yaw (°/count)
Counter-Strike 2 0.022
Apex Legends 0.022
Valorant 0.07
Overwatch 2 0.0066
Call of Duty 0.0066

Because CS2 and Apex share the same yaw, the same sensitivity feels identical in both.

Typical Sensitivity Ranges

Style cm/360 Feels like
High sensitivity under 25 cm Wrist aiming, fast flicks
Medium 25–45 cm Balanced; most players
Low sensitivity over 45 cm Arm aiming, precise tracking

Tactical shooters (CS2, Valorant) tend toward low sensitivity; fast movement shooters (Apex, Overwatch 2) tend to be higher.

Converting Sensitivity Between Games

Choose your current game and a target game. The converter keeps your cm/360 identical, so muscle memory carries over. It assumes the same DPI and the default field of view.

Get Your Real DPI First

Your calculation is only as accurate as your DPI. Mice can be several percent off their setting, so measure it with the DPI analyzer and use that number above.

Frequently Asked Questions

What Is a Good eDPI for CS2?

Most professional CS2 players sit between about 600 and 1,200 eDPI, for example 400 DPI at 2.0 sensitivity (800 eDPI). Lower eDPI gives finer control for long-range aim; higher eDPI makes fast turns easier.

What Is a Good eDPI for Valorant?

Valorant uses a different sensitivity scale, so its eDPI numbers are lower — typically 200–400 for pros. A Valorant sensitivity is roughly a CS2 sensitivity divided by 3.18.

Why Can't I Compare eDPI Between Games?

Each game turns the camera by a different amount per mouse count (its "yaw"). Compare cm/360 instead — it measures physical hand movement for a full turn and is the same in every game.

Should I Change DPI or In-Game Sensitivity?

Either works as long as eDPI stays the same. Many players keep DPI at 800 or 1600 and adjust in-game sensitivity, so desktop cursor speed stays comfortable.

Is My Mouse's DPI Accurate?

Not always — real DPI can be 5–10% off the setting. Measure it with the DPI analyzer and enter the measured value here for an exact cm/360.
